FTF is serving as the prime structural engineer for the SFO International Terminal Building (ITB) Phase 2 Renovation project, which involves the centralization of US Customs Secondary Operations to the central Second Floor and the removal of an existing lateral system brace to provide a future corridor between T3W and ITB. The second-floor brace removal triggered the existing building lateral system to be evaluated and retrofitted. FTF is also providing design for strengthening the existing lateral system while minimizing the construction effects that may disrupt the functions of the airport building.
