This affordable, low-income, senior-only apartment building is part of the Westport Cupertino Master Development with KT Urban. The Greenpoint-certified building consists of 48 units comprising studios, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom units in five floors of wood-framed Type IIIA over one floor of concrete Type IA construction. The first-floor level contains community space, a property management office, and commercial space in addition to ground-level rental units. The residential units are primarily stacked on floors two through six with a rooftop amenity deck above. FTF worked closely with C2K Architects in the beginning of the design to determine the most efficient column and wall layout of the first story to support the post-tensioned transfer slab.
