The Vanderbilt Condo Hotel Towers were Inserted as two identical, twelve-story tower additions on either side of the historic Vanderbilt Hotel, originally constructed in 1919 by railroad scion Fredrick William Vanderbilt. Each contains three levels of subterranean parking, ground-level retail, restaurants, swimming pools, a spa and condo hotel guest rooms. Delivered as a fast-track, phased construction effort, the project required extensive communication and collaboration with the ownership, International Hospitality Associates, and other members of the design team based in San Juan. Role: FTF Principal John A. Dal Pino, Principal Structural Engineer while at a previous firm.
