The project involves preparing Criteria Documents for the new Diego Rivera Theater at City College of San Francisco’s Ocean Campus located at 50 Frida Kahlo Way in San Francisco. These documents for this DSA project included a brief summary of the existing site and grading conditions, expected civil engineering scope, general structural design criteria, as well as potential building types and lateral force resisting systems.
The Diego Rivera Theater Project is approximately 75,000 gross square feet, covering 25,000 square feet. The theater includes a 600-seat multi-purpose auditorium/theater and related program components, including but not limited to the relocation of the Diego Rivera – Pan American Unity Mural into the lobby of the theater, along with rehearsal space, recital space, site work, and a green roof. This project is planned to obtain a LEED Silver rating.
