Six-level, 80,000 sq.ft., mixed-use building with 87 apartments. One-fifth of the units are designated as affordable housing. Stepped building and entries with topography; variety of open spaces including the courtyard, a roof deck and a roof garden, Designed and detailed three levels of combined mild steel slabs and post tensioned triangular slabs with several steps and drops. 8th Street Apartments

Architect: Kava Massih Architects

Entire city block of new mixed-use buildings (total of twelve independent buildings) providing 410 units of rental apartments and internal alleyways for vehicular circulation through the site and underground parking for 315 cars and 414 bicycles. Designed and detailed approximately 140,000 sq.ft of post tensioned slabs (twelve podiums and seven one level) for the entire project; designed and detailed all mild steel slabs and sloped transfer girders at the ground level. Manzanita Place

Located on the former Fort Ord Army Base in Monterey County, Manzanita Place provides 66 affordable rental units. Manzanita Place marks the first housing community to be completed in the greater East Garrison master-planned development, and consists of 10 garden-style apartment buildings with 4 distinct building types. The development includes 6 three-story apartment buildings, 3 two-story apartment buildings, and 1 two-story community building.
